SCHOOL OF DANCING
In Ballet, we follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. In Tap and Modern, we follow the Imperial Society of Teachers of Danceing (ISTD) syllabus. We encourage all of our pupils to take exams especially as the qualifications have now been aligned with the National Qualifications Framework and can be added to the pupils academic achievements to build up the qualifications portfolio. However they are not compulsory.
We have seen many past successes such as pupils training in the Junior and Senior Associate scheme at the Royal Ballet and many moving on to full time training to places such as Laban, Urdang Academy and London Studio Centre.
Whether you want to come for fun or if you see this as your career we will help you achieve your goals to ensure you get the best out of your time with us.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rita Jenvey School-the proof being in the fact that my daughter started at the age of 4 & is now nearly 17 & is as enthusiastic as the day she started. What sets this school apart is the way it treats each pupil as an individual to be supported & encouraged; it genuinely is like a family. She enjoys the anticipation of the various shows & examinations & the level of teaching & guidance is excellent. It will be a sad day indeed when she has to leave but she has already expressed her desire, instilled by Rita Jenvey, to keep dancing!
